The little white dress (or LWD) is definitely the trend for summer. It’s perfect for so many occasions, whether it be a baby shower or cocktail hour. What always tops my list of wants when shopping for the perfect LWD is details details. If you don’t find the right details, you run the risk of looking like either a wedding gone very wrong or a a very chic (or inappropriate) nun. For me, the details have to be crisp, chic, and masculine. White is an incredibly feminine color, so for me, I need to edge it up a bit when it comes to the details. I love high neck lines, unfinished edges, and strong lines. These details will make or break my commitment to purchase an LWD.
An important thing to take into account with an LWD is, if you are make it a mini LWD, to cover up on top. If you read my blog, you know my rule when it comes to showing some skin: You get to pick one body part to bare it all… your décolletage, your midriff, or your stems. You get no more than that…
