My holiday style usually consists of anything metallic and I am usually drowning in tulle by the 26th of December. The holidays are a perfect time to play with color and texture, especially if your style spirit animal is a very masculine one. I tend to be a tomboy in my everyday life, so the holidays are a perfect opportunity to blend my masculine style with frills and bows.

This season for me will be about everything gold, everything corseted, and everything tulle. Since looking at the upcoming trends for fall and winter (which you can find on my blog), I am currently obsessed with all of the aforementioned styles since seeing the runways around the world dripping in these trends for the coming seasons.

Gold and metallics will definitely spruce up your holiday style and, if worn correctly, will make you the talk of any party. I like to do metallic differently, which is why I paired my pair of gold cigarette pants pictured above with a corseted tee. This look could be easily worn to an office party or even to a New Years blowout, It’s just the right blend of office appropriateness and NYE cool.

Like I said before, and can be seen in “Currently Craving Corsetry” post, this holiday style season will be about sexy waists and 50 shades of corsets. I am cinching everything from overcoats to tee-shirt dresses. Corsets are no longer for the bedroom. This trend is coming to the street full force and in works with every body type.

Lastly, tulle is an obvious choice for this season as with every holiday occasion. The girliness of tulle can be toned down to just a touch on a hemline or you can go full force with a full midi skirt. The possibilities are endless when it comes to tulle and you don’t have to be a prima ballerina to rock the chic out of this trend.
