Nighttime skin routines can be overwhelming and down right annoying. With all of the beauty bloggers out there saying you should use this, that this serum is the best, or this cleanser is the live and die by product, it can be so confusing to figure out which products to actually use. That’s why I decided to divulge my skin gym secrets and give a simple, dummed down, and good for you skin routine that can hopefully be utilized by anyone, regardless of skin type. So here’s my skin gym yoke session.

Firstly, my main goal with nighttime skin routines is to keep it simple. I don’t want to be spending an hour before bed. I’m exhausted after momming it all day and the last thing I want to do is spend a ton of time prepping to go no where. Secondly, I want clean skin care. Minimal ingredients, no fillers, and no bullshit is my goal. It can be super hard out there to find good, clean skincare and it can be enticing to choose the shit that is botox in a jar. I choose my poisons wisely. I do botox, but couple that with clean as fuck daily skincare. It’s my balance… like having a doughnut with bulletproof coffee. We all have our “things”.

The most important, and the meat of any good skin care post are the products. Again, for me, less is best. I use four products that are all, except the wipe, oil based. For my nighttime skin gym routine I use a  The Honest Company makeup wipe, Malin & Goetz cleansing oil, The Modern Mamahood face oilDoTerra anti wrinkle essential oil. People incorrectly think that oils can clog your pores and make you break out, especially people with oily tendencies. Truthfully, it’s the noncomodegenic oils that don’t clog pores. These oils, such as grapeseed oil, are incredibly hydrating and anti-acne.

Then cleansing with the Malin & Goetz oil cleanser. It may be weird at first because it doesn’t really foam up, but that’s a good thing! Then I put my The Modern Mamahood oil all over my face, neck, and décolletage. Then I roll one swipe of my DoTerra Inmortelle blend under each eye and voila! Ready for bed…
