Studs and succulunts are a perfect pair for the California transition into spring. I can still feel like I’m in summer with my desert plants, while now being able to wear my fall jackets. I love this in between time when you can still rock denim shorts, but keep it layered on top.

What I’m loving for the fall transition period, keeping with the 90’s trend that I can’t get enough of, is layering graphic tees and dresses. The dress fabrics of choice are silk and velvet, the major players of fall fabric. Taking a great graphic tee, like a vintage band or logo tee, and layering it under a yummy dress allows you to dress down the whole look turning a normally nighttime silhouette cool enough for the day. It also allows you to still rock those light, spaghetti strapped dress with out having to cover them up with a sweater or bomber.

The perfect accessory for the tee and dress look is a perfect corset belt. Seen over and over on the NYFW runways, the corset belt is coming out of retirement and can be seen on every street style maven. So maybe I should change the title of the blog to Studs and Succulents and Sexy Corset Belts????
